Field Axe | Campers Axe 

Made In The USA  Part of our CCW  American Heritage Back-to-Basics Garden Tool  Series

Some might call this a camp axe, as it is perfect for splitting wood blocks into kindling, and cutting up small limbs for the camp fire. Others call it a landscaper’s axe as it is perfect for clearing out small brush and thick vines out of overgrown landscapes.

The short 14” curved hickory handle makes it ideal for one-handed work, and storage in a truck tool box or camper.  1.25lb head is light weight enough not to wear you out but heavy enough to do the job.

Features forged “tool steel” head; hand sharpened tapered bit edge and heat treated to Rockwell 45-60 for greater depth of hardness, edge holding, safety and durability.  Coated to deter rust.  Wood handles are kiln dried to 10% moisture to avoid shrinkage and insure proper head-to-handle fit.  The interior detail of the eye is also tapered, allowing for a more secure mechanical bond.  Heads are hydraulically seated onto handle and secured with serrated aluminum wedge, preventing shrinkage and providing maximum hold.
