Hay Hook 

Made In The USA  Part of our CCW  American Heritage Back-to-Basics Garden Tool  Series

Used to hook the ropes on hay bales for loading and unloading, still as practical today on farms and horse ranches using square hay bales.

A simple steel hook with a wood handle, yet very versatile tool to have on the farm.  Originally designed to hook the rope on square bales of hay as workers lifted them up on to a farm wagon, and then unloaded the bales into up into the barn loft.   The hay hook also became handy and remains so for other jobs on the farm such as lifting a roll of barbed wire, wrestling in a large cat fish, or pulling thorny brush off a truck. 

The Hay Hook has an overall  11” length fixed with a D-Handle.
