Although it is a Mennonite publication geared to the Mennonite and Amish communities, the publication is enjoyed by people of all faiths and beliefs, as it focuses on the spiritual needs of everyone and not any particular religious beliefs. The magazine provides guidance for a simpler back to basics life style.
Started in 1993, Keepers at Home had a mission to encourage Christian mothers in their God-given calling of being mothers and homemakers. The magazine comes to your home four times a year packed with how-to and ideas that help you in your role as a wife and mother. With each issue you get much-needed practical and spiritual encouragement from women just like yourself who know the joys and trails of motherhood.
Regular features include: Child’s View (amusing perspectives from readers’ children) From our house to Yours and Across My Kitchen Table (editor-mothers share their personal lives), My End of the Hoe (garden editor writes on gardening), Gracia’s Garden (how-to on herbs), Care to Share (readers’ questions-readers responses), Recipes (centerfold tear-out of reader’s recipes on a specific food category).

One reader writes, although this is a Mennonite publication, I am a Baptist stay at home Mom and I really enjoy it. There are articles on herbal remedies, recipes, frugal living, marriage, adoption, special needs, and child training, more. They have a column where readers can write in and ask questions to be answered by other readers. An excellent magazine!
