The sewing machine pushes down into the cabinet using a German made air lift allowing the top to be closed. The air lift provides adjustable levels for both table top and flat bed sewing. New zinc plated roller frame does not chip and bind the rollers like the previously painted frames.
The heavy duty air lift is rated for up to 50 lbs with adjustable levels for both table top and flat bed sewing.
The deluxe cabinet also includes a Serger compartment which folds for storage. The cabinet features a slide out wall for spools of thread and four different sized drawers; the bottom drawer is designed to hold patterns. 56"L x 31"H x 20"D (Closed) 79"L x 31"H x 20"D (Open)
Cabinets are built one at a time with each order making it easy to customize or reconfigure to your needs, just drop us an e-mail with your custom request. A simple change such as reversing the drawers or Serger compartment to accommodate a left-hand person can usually be accomplished with a slight up charge.
Standard knee hole is 20" and will accommodate most standard size machines in the 14"-18" width range. If you have a larger embroidery machine this cabinet will need to be stretched in width to provide a 26" knee hole. This is just for the base of the machine to fit down into the cabinet. Removable embroidery arms used after the machine is up at table top height does not need to be considered in measuring the base width. There is an up charge for this modification.

Amish sewing machine cabinet will generally take 6-8 weeks to build and ship. These small Amish shops do at times become overloaded with seasonal orders. Over all the years that we have been selling these cabinets we have had two cabinets from this builder that went much longer to build and ship. Each cabinet is handcrafted for quality and not mass production speed. Call us if you would like to know the current build time.
You may pick the cabinet up in Northern Indiana; select F.O.B. for no shipping charge.

Shipping Outside Flat Rate Select Area
For those who live in an area not covered by the flat rate plan; we approach shipping a bit differently than other companies. We want of give you a quality product and not play smoke and mirrors with the shipping. Most companies will just double or nearly triple the wholesale cost and offer either free shipping or shipping at a minimal amount. The fact is these cabinets are shipped truck freight and shipping is a costly factor. Depending on how close you live to Indiana, shipping will vary greatly.
You may select shipping deposit for the Midwest, South, Southwest, and the Western States. These rates are estimated rates for our shipping company to pick up your cabinet at the Amish shop pack it and ship it via freight on a common carrier with curbside delivery to you. Lift gate and inside delivery is available for these areas as well but at an additional cost. Generally, the additional cost will run around $75 for lift gate and $200 additional for inside delivery. Inside delivery requires the trucking company to supply another person for the delivery.
If the actual shipping cost is less than the shipping deposit we will refund the difference. We will absorb up to 10% above the estimate. If the cost will be more than the estimate including 10% we will contact you for additional shipping cost before processing the order. You will be able to decide if you still want to continue with the order or have a full refund.
If you would like to have a shipping quote before ordering just drop us an e-mail with your address and zip code.
We do have the same access to regional blanket wrap furniture haulers used by other Amish furniture companies advertising lower shipping rates. These regional haulers do a great job and at times can save nearly half on shipping cost. What the other furniture companies won’t tell you is that most of these truckers only make a trip to the regions monthly or in some cases every other month and that you may have to wait that much longer to receive your item. These carriers also don’t service all parts of the United States so, you may still need to go and pick the cabinet up in a larger city.
Depending on the timing of when the cabinet nears completion we can check with one of the carriers to see what options and timing that might be available. Just select the F.O.B pickup shipping option at checkout. We will go ahead and obtain a shipping quote for the regular shipping rates so that you will know how much it could cost to ship and then collect whichever option works best for your delivery when the cabinet is ready to ship.
