Description

USA Amish made wagon kit is so exact in detail of the original Studebaker Junior wagons that the parts will interchange in restoration projects.

Stunning detail and craftsmanship that you would expect to find in a museum display.

This is a functional kid’s wagon that can be used as a display or used just like they were at the turn of the century.

Wagon box size is 36” L x 16” W. Seat width is 16” wide.

The seat sits 24” high and the top of the wagon box 20” high measured from the ground.

The seat slides back and forth on the box for adjustment.

Box and gear are made from premium poplar hardwood.

The wheels are handmade 12” wood spoke wheels front, 18” on the back.

Standard metal wheels can be upgraded to rubber using the drop-down box at the top of the page. Wheels are made from Ash hardwoods.

Save money on shipping. The complete wagon kit ships in one box ready to assemble and finish. The assembled wagon ships in two boxes.

Includes all the wood and hardware already cut and sanded.

Don’t worry, you will not need special woodworking tools or skills, but your complete project should look like you are master craftsmen when finished.

The Kit does not include the paint, Studebaker logo, or finish materials. Some fine hand sanding will still be required for automotive-style finishes.

Optional old-fashioned sled runners can also be added using the drop-down box at the top of the page. The runners fit on the wheel axles for use in snow.

Optional Goat Shaft can also be added using the drop-down box at the top of the page.

Goat shaft is 52” long and quickly interchanges in place of the tongue. Goat shaft ships in a separate box, the price reflects the additional shipping cost not included in the basic wagon shipping cost.

Shipping cost is based on your zip code; the kit does ship in an oversized box dimensional weight.

Priced as an unfinished kit. We also offer this wagon in an unfinished or painted assembled model as pictured. Click Here for more information.

Note: The painted Studebaker wagon comes standard with the Studebaker name hand-painted on the sides and back of the seat. This kit does not include the Studebaker logo or paint.

Studebaker Junior wagons were built by the South Bend Toy Company from the turn of the century until World War II.

Originally, they were commissioned to be built as dealer and salesmen scaled samples for the Studebaker Brothers Manufacturing Company.

In the absence of color pictures and brochures of products, it was common for salesmen and dealer showrooms to display scaled models of the full-size products so that customers could see it firsthand.

The cute Studebaker wagons soon took on a new market venture for Studebaker as they became popular kid’s wagons.

The South Bend Toy Company began large-scale production of the Studebaker Junior kid’s wagons that were sold through Studebaker dealers and even sold in the Sears & Roebuck catalogs.

The Studebaker wagon comes standard with the Studebaker name hand-painted on the sides and back of the seat.   You may order it with another name that will fit in the same size parameters.

These wagons are custom made and painted per order. Orders are also processed via old-fashioned snail mail with this old-time remote Amish shop.

Please allow 4-8 weeks to build and ship your kit.
