This Amish builder designs and builds quality working wagons to last a lifetime!
Using the drop-down boxes, you can just order the gear, custom build your own box wagon or add the options up to a completely covered chuck wagon. At Cottage Craft Works we bring you old-fashioned quality and value on custom made items.
The running gear is built using selected Ash lumber and reinforced with steel. Standard gear size is 70” hub to hub and built to hold a 38” box. Running gear does not include the wheels or tongue, choose from several different options. The gear is designed with metal roller bearing axles. Authentic wooden hub axles are also an option.
He is very selective in choosing his materials. Wagon wheels are built using roller bearing hubs, authentic wooden hubs are an option.
The wagon tongue option for the above is also built using Ash lumber and reinforced with steel.
For brakes, you may choose either authentic (Rub) brakes or hydraulic brakes.
Wheel options include 2” flat steel, 2” rubber wheels, 2-1/2” steel wheels, or 2-1/2” rubber wheels. Wheels are priced as a complete set.
The wagon Box standard size is 38” x 10’-6” built with Poplar lumber. Select a larger size if needed.
You may also just purchase the hardware kit to build the box wagon.
Amish made metal box wagon hardware kit is the same hardware used on the box wagon in the picture. It is only for the box wagon not including the seat hardware. The seat hardware is also available by Clicking Here
The bows set of five bows have options for either 2” or 2-1/2” which includes the box cleats. These are very expensive to ship as they have to ship on a pallet already bowed.
The canvas measures 11-1/2’ x 12’ with loops. The optional driver canopy option is also available.
This Amish craftsman generally works on a 60-90-day manufacturing time frame.
